Celtis occidentalis. A beautiful, low-maintenance, drought tolerant large shade tree. The name does not do it justice, maybe it's other name--Sugarberry--should be used more. Small, dark, edible fruits with large seeds hold on the tree through winter, keeping things interesting for both you and the birds all winter. With interesting, warty bark on the main trunk, the size of this tree depends on how much water it's getting. 40-60' at maturity.
