Plum, 'Santa Rosa'

Large, roundish fruit; skin dark purplish-crimson with russet dots, covered with thin bloom; flesh reddish near skin, shading to amber near the center, firm, juicy, slightly tart; quality good; fruit keeps well. 

Tree large, vigorous, upright, widely adapted. Originated in 1907 in Santa Rosa, California by the prolific plant breeder Luther Burbank.
